Mike Palmer Homes (“we,” “us”) builds custom homes around Lake Norman and the greater Charlotte area. Information you give us
When you fill out our contact form, we collect what you choose to send us, which can include:
- Your name, email address and phone number
- Whether you own land, and if so the lot address or parcel ID and county
- The areas you’re interested in, the size of home you have in mind and your timeline
- Anything else you include in your message
If you call or email us directly, we keep that correspondence too.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, ours records basic technical information when you visit, such as your browser type, device, the pages you view, the site that referred you, and an approximate location based on your IP address. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect this information on our behalf. Our contact form uses a spam-protection service that may check your browser and connection to confirm you’re a person and not a bot.

- To research your lot, such as pulling topographic or parcel information, when you give us an address or parcel ID
- To provide estimates, plans and building services if you decide to work with us

We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t share it with anyone so they can market to you.
Who we share it with
We share information only as needed to run our business and serve you:
- Service providers who help us operate the website and our business, such as our web host, email provider, analytics provider and spam-protection service. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
- Partners on your project, such as surveyors, engineers, designers or lenders, but only when you’re working with us and it’s needed for your build.
- Legal reasons, when required by law or to protect our rights, our customers or others.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored in your browser. We use them to keep the site working and, through Google Analytics, to measure how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, though some features may not.
Links to other sites
Our site links to other services, including YouTube, Facebook and Instagram. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we aren’t responsible for how they handle your information.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiry information for as long as it’s useful for talking with you about a project, and records for clients for as long as needed to provide warranty service and meet legal and tax requirements. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see below).
Your choices
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we have about you, correct it, or delete it. Email info@mikepalmerhomes.com and we’ll respond within a reasonable time. If you no longer want to hear from us, just tell us and we’ll stop contacting you.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including an encrypted (HTTPS) connection to our site. No method of sending or storing data is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.
Children
Our website is meant for adults planning a home. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the effective date at the top of this page.
